Chatsworth Centre is about to be revamped, ensuring a fresh new look.
First African Claddings (FAC) has been appointed for the mesh screen revamp on the Chatsworth Centre in Chatsworth, Durban, Kwazulu Natal. FAC will be supplying and installing around 1600 square meters of framed Mesh Screen panels.
The framed mesh panels in the pictures accompanying this article are on its way to powder-coating, and FAC is excited to get going with this much-awaited revamp.
First African Claddings recently clad the lifts at Clifton Terraces with golden mesh screens.
Clifton Terraces are surrounded by Lion’s Head , Table Mountain and Clifton’s picturesque beaches, with breathtaking views. Proud of the work by their company, Van Heerden De Wet (Operations Manager at First African Claddings), said that “the looks are only bettered by the view, and only just.”
ESPERIA expanded aluminium mesh, by Ismar International, was chosen for this project , and the colour used, was the anodized “Bronzo chiaro”.
The cladding of the Fagron Healthy Ageing Institute building in Northclift, Johannesburg, is only one of many projects by First African Claddings, where Equitone's Tectiva were specified.

First African Claddings, cladding division of Helderberg Technology Holdings, manufactured and supplied sun louvres at the Menlyn Park Welcome Centre, Pretoria earlier this year.
Said Andries Carstens, senior project manager at First African Claddings: “Unbelievable what only a 30 square meter cladding panel project can do to totally transform the aesthetic look at the Menlyn Park Welcome Centre entrance and building.”
First African Claddings (FAC), previously called AfriClad, designed bracketing and vertical extrusion (T-section) for a Prototype Installation Project display at the Neolith Western Cape branch. Neolith, First African Claddings and Upat joined forces on this project.
Neolith supplied the panels, Upat supplied the fischer plugs, -adhesive and coach screws, while First African Claddings did the installation, and also designed and supplied the bracketing and vertical extrusion.
